PINAG-IISIPAN ng liderato ng Mababang Kapulungan ng Kongreso ang pagsasagawa ng mass vaccination para sa 300 kongresista at higit sa 2,000 empleyado ng Kamara kapag ganap na magkakaroon ng vaccine sa bansa.
Ayon kay House Secretary General Mark Llandro “Dong” Mendoza, ito ay prayoridad ng kasalukuyang administrasyon ng Kamara sa pangunguna ni House Speaker Lord Allan Velasco.
“Mass vaccination is one of the thrust that Speaker Lord Allan Velasco wants to implement. Allocating funds for the purchase of vaccines is also one of our top priorities,” ani Mendoza sa Ugnayan sa Batasan hybrid news forum kahapon na dinalohan ng mga reporter sa Andaya Hall at sa pamamagitan ng teleconferencing.
Inilinaw din ni Mendoza na ang 93 katao na nagkaroon ng CoVid-19 bago noong 8 Nobyembre ay “cleared” na.
Aniya nakarekober na sila habang ang ilan naman ay nag-expire na.
“So our 98 cases is the updated one, and this is as of Nov. 20. That is our total number of cases,” anang dating kongresista ng Batangas.
Giit ni Mendoza, karamihan sa 98 kaso ng CoVid-19 sa Kamara ay nanggaling sa labas ng Batasan.
“Speaker Velasco initiated a mass testing because we wanted to know what the numbers really are. Previously, they conducted testing based only on symptoms. We did mass testing if only to be sure about the real situation,” paliwanag ni Mendoza.
Aniya, ang susunod na mass testing ay gagawin sa susunod na taon bago magbukas ang session sa 18 Enero 2021.
“Speaker Velasco ordered the mass testing to ensure the health and safety of everyone in the Batasan Complex, while the legislative chamber carries out its constitutional duties amid the pandemic,” aniya.
Mahigpit na pinatutupad sa Kamara ang health protocols para maiwasan ang pagkalat ng CoVid-19 at dahil dito ang mga bisita ay inaatasang magpakita ng “negative test result” bago papasukin sa batasan.
Lahat ng papasok ay kinakailangan dumaan sa thermal scanners at disinfection machines at gumagamit ng face mask at face shield. (GERRY BALDO)
