NAKIRAMAY ang mga kongresista sa mga namatayan sa pagbagsak ng Philippine Air Force C-130 habang nangakong pagagandahin ang mga eroplano ng PAF.
“There are simply no words that can be said to console those left behind by our brave military personnel, as well as the three civilians who died as a result of this disaster,” ani Velasco.
Ayon sa mga ulat, 50 ang namatay sa insidente nang lumihis sa runway ang eroplano na may sakay na 90 sundalo at crew mula Cagayan de Oro City patungong Sulu.
Nangako si Velasco na mapalitan ang bumagsak na C-130 at suportahan ang pagkikos para sa makabagong eroplano para sa PAF.
“I can only give my word that we in the House of Representatives will include in the 2022 budget the modernization of the PAF’s fleet as well as ensure the proper training of personnel in handling modern equipment,” ani Velasco.
Nanawagan ang House Speaker para sa masusing imbestigasyon at repasohin ang “PAF pilots’ protocols” kasama ang pagtingin sa kaligtasan ng mga runway sa mga probinsiya.
“We acknowledge the importance of our uniformed personnel, as our dear President Duterte himself has done so several times,” anang speaker. “The least we can do is to ensure that this never happens again.”
Para kay House Majority Leader and Leyte Rep. Martin G. Romualdez nararapat bigyan ng tulong at benepisyo ang mga naiwang pamilya ng mga namatay.
“The House of Representatives will await for a full report from the Defense Secretary who ordered an investigation on this tragic incident,” ani Romualdez.
“After receiving the report, rest assured that we will exhaust all means possible to make sure that our soldiers and men in uniform are safe from harm and their welfare protected,” aniya.
Kasama sa mga nagpaabot ng pakikiramay sina Muntinlupa Rep. Ruffy Biazon, Dasmariñas City Rep Elpidio Barzaga at Deputy Speaker Mujiv Hataman.
“I join the Filipino nation in condoling with those who have lost their loved ones in the tragic accident in Sulu. This is very unfortunate,” ani Barzaga.
“Ang mga naturang sundalo ay papunta sana sa Sulu upang sumama at makibahagi sa laban kontra terorismo, ngunit sa kasamaang palad ay nasawi sa isang aksidente. Maituturing na natin silang mga bayani na nagbigay ng kanilang buhay para sa bayan,” ani Hataman. (GERRY BALDO)
