Chiz nagbitiw sa 2 Senate committee

NAGBITIW sa puwesto si Sen. Chiz Escudero bilang chairman ng Senate Finance Committee at co-chairman ng Joint Congressional Oversight Committee on Public Expenditures dahil sa delicadeza.

Inihain ni Escudero ang pagbibitiw kay Senate President Franklin Drilon at agad na magiging epektibo.

Nais ni Escudero na hindi mabahiran ng politika ang nalalapit na pagtalakay ng panukalang General Appropirations Act o 2016 national budget.

“I believe that it behooves me to step down at this juncture to ensure that deliberations on the General Appropriations Bill (GAB) – considered the single most important piece of legislation passed by Congress each year – are untainted by suspicions or perceptions of partisan politics,” ayon kay Escudero.

Wala pang pormal na anunsiyo si Escudero kung tatakbo siya sa mas mataas na posisyon ngunit lumulutang ang sinasabing tambalan nila ni Sen. Grace Poe sa 2016 national elections.
