37,095 Pinoy workers napauwi na

UMABOT sa 37,095 Pinoy workers na apektado ng CoVid-19 pandemic ang napauwi ng Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) nitong buwan ng Oktubre.

Sa kabuuan ay nasa 237,363 overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) ang na-repatriate ng pamahalaan simula nang pumutok ang CoVid-19 pandemic, 77,326 (32.58%) dito ay sea-based habang 160,037 (67.42%) ay land-based.

Sa ulat, 31,849 (85.86%) ay mula Middle East; 2,716 (7.32%) mula Asia at Pacific; 2,406 (6.49%) mula Europe; 92% (0.25%) mula Africa; at 32 (0.09%) mula sa America.

Aabot sa higit 500 Agro-studies students ang na- repatriate ng DFA nitong buwan ng Oktubre mula sa Israel.

Ligtas ding naiuwi ang 92 OFWs mula Libya sa pamamagitan ng biyaheng dagat mula Indonesia habang ang 40 seaman ay sakay ng BRP Tubbataha.

Naiuwi ng kagawaran ang 920 overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) kasama rito ang may problema sa medical condition mula Australia, Brazil, French Polynesia, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Norway, Oman, Spain at USA.

As we sustain our repatriation efforts in the last two months of the year, the DFA remains fully committed to bringing home our kababayan, whatever challenges we may face,” pahayag ni Foreign Affairs Undersecretary for Migrant Workers’ Affairs Sarah Lou Y. Arriola.

Inaasahan ng DFA na mapapauwi pa ang higit 107,000 Pinoy bago matapos ang taon 2020.
