Inamin ni Parlade: Colmenares tinitiktikan

“ACTIVISM in not terrorism.”

Inihayag ito ng ilang opisyal ng administrasyong Duterte na nagsulong na maipasa ang kontrobersiyal na Anti-Terror Act ngunit taliwas ito sa ginagawa sa ilang aktibista, artista, at kilalang personalidad sa mga progresibong organisasyon.
Walang kagatol-gatol na inamin kahapon ni AFP Southern Luzon Command (SolCom) commander Lt. Gen. Antonio Parlade, Jr., tinitiktikan o under surveillance ng military si human rights lawyer at dating Bayan Muna partylist Rep. Neri Colmenares.

“Itong CPP under surveillance ‘yan kaya si Neri Colmenares under surveillance din ‘yan,” sabi ni Parlade sa panayam sa DZMM kahapon.

Walang ebidensiya o patunay na binanggit si Parlade para iugnay si Colmenares sa Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP).

Si Colmenares ay tiyuhin ng aktres na si Angel Locsin, isang women’s rights advocate, at kapatid na si Ella Colmenares.

Sinabi ni Parlade na si Ella ay naging miyembro ng militanteng League of Filipino Students (LFS) mula 2005 hanggang 2007.

Giit ng heneral, ang LFS ay prenteng organisasyon ng CPP-NPA at ang grupo umano ni Ella ay may operasyon sa Polillo Island sa Southern Luzon.

“Angel Locsin knows everything about Ella’s involvement dito sa (in the) NPA so hindi po ako nangre-red-tag,” ani Parlade.

Idinagdag niya na “above ground” na si Ella matapos manganak.

Gayonman, hindi pa aniya mino-monitor ng militar ang aktres ngunit dahil sa kanyang ugnayan sa Bayan Muna, sa kanyang tiyuhin at kapatid, may tsansa na matulad sa kanila kung hindi mag-iingat.

“But because of her association sa Bayan Muna sa kanyang uncle, sa kanyang kapatid, chances are kapag hindi nag-ingat si Angel Locsin ganoon din ang pupuntahan niya,” sabi ng heneral.

Kaugnay nito, ipinagtanggol ni Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin, Jr., ang aktres sa gitna ng red-tagging issue.

“Angel Locsin has done more with her life for others than anyone I know of in her situation,” ayon sa tweet ni Locsin kamakalawa.

“Anyone messes with her will get it. I am not allowed to threaten on Twitter.”

Ayon kay Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana, sinabihan niya si Parlade na mag-ingat sa pag-red-tag sa mga tao kung walang ebidensiya.

Ani Lorenzana, iginiit niya kay Parlade na ang pakikisalamuha sa Gabriela ng isang tao ay hindi nangangahulugan na isinusulong o sinusuportahan ang ideolohiya ng mga ‘leftist.’

“What did I tell Gen Parlade? I cautioned him from red-tagging anybody without evidence. Associating with Gabriela, per se, does not mean a person advocates and supports its ideology. Therefore it is our duty to forewarn them less they fall into a trap,” aniya sa kalatas.

“Meantime, I directed Gen. Parlade to continue what he is doing with some caveats so as not to unnecessarily include or accuse innocent people who are well meaning and want to do good things for others.”
