GIVEN naman na, na sa mahigit na dalawang dekadang napagtagumpayan na niya ang pagpapabango sa sambayan sa pamamagitan ng kanyang Aficionado, masasabing pwede nang makampante ang tinaguriang Lord of Scents na si Joel Cruz.
Pero sa kabila ng tagumpay, tuloy pa rin siya sa pagpasok sa iba pang negosyong hindi naman para sa kanya kundi sa napakarami niyang tauhan sa buong bansa.
Bakit pa ba?

Ang bagong negosyo naman na pinasok ni Joel ngayon ay ang Takoyaki at Milk Tea. O TakoYa-Tea. Anong istorya?
“Oh yes classmate. It’s Takoyaki-Japanese Octopus Balls & Milk Tea. I will text you the different flavors of takoyaki & milk tea & their sizes!
“It’s a family business composed of yours truly, my niece-Avic Cruz & her partner Royce Ramos; my brother-Michael Cruz & his wife-Dol Cruz.
“Si Avic concocted the milk tea at si Dol naman sa takoyaki. It’s an experiment, trial & error, a lot of suggestions, recommendations until the whole family approved their final recipe! Thank God!!!
“Sugar contents of the milk tea depends on the request of the customer- 100%; 75%; 50% or 25%. We will come out with honey also or Splenda for diabetic customers!
“Hopefully in 2 weeks we can open our pilot store here in Sampaloc, Manila at the corner or RETIRO & SISA streets which is few steps from my main office & house. What is good here is that we are open for franchising & the moment I texted our existing retailers/dealers of Aficionado, hundreds of them are interested.
“I am very happy to share na even during pandemic, people are aggressive to open & try new business ventures. Well, I’ve been in franchising or retailing business for the past 15-16 years & I’ve proven it sa Aficionado which has been there for almost 2 decades and still doing good & strong.
“Our retailers/dealers trust us very well & they are looking forward to this new business which is Takoyaki & Milk Tea. They believe we can make it to the market just like what we did with Aficionado. I call it myself as TMT (Tikman Mo To); ( Truly Magnificent Taste; (Takoyaki & Milk Tea). Sinasabi nila na masarap! Kaya ang dami ng orders.”
Kaya naman lalong pinagpapala. Dahil patuloy ang pagtulong sa kanyang kapwa.
