Graduation rites dapat simple lang — DepEd  

PINAALALAHANAN ng Department of Education (DepEd) ang mga opisyal ng mga paaralan na gawing simple lamang ngunit makahulugan ang graduation ceremonies.

“While graduation rites mark a milestone in the life of the graduates, these should be conducted without excessive spending, extravagant attire or extravagant venues,” pahayag ni Education Secretary Armin Luistro.

“Contribution for the annual yearbook, if any, should be on a voluntary basis,” dagdag niya.

Ayon sa DepEd, ang graduation ceremonies para sa public elementary at high schools sa bansa ay dapat itakda sa Marso 26 o 27.

Ayon kay Luistro, ang graduation ceremonies ay dapat na magsusulong ng ‘civil rights, foster a sense of community and encourage personal responsibility’ ayon sa temang

“Saktong Buhay: Sa De-kalidad na Edukasyon Pinanday.”

“Through this theme, we hope to emphasize the department’s commitment to honing 21st century skills among Filipino graduates in order for them to actualize their life goals and dreams not only for themselves but also for the less fortunate,” ayon pa sa kalihim.
