Communist insurgency seryosong tapusin ni Duterte

PABOR ang Palasyo sa panukalang  magtatag ng isang task force na may layuning tuldukan ang halos kalahating siglong communist insurgency sa bansa.

Iminungkahi ni Pres­idential Spokesman Harry Roque sa military na magsumite ng rekomen­dasyon kay Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte upang makapaglabas ng isang executive order na mag-uutos ng pagbubuo ng Task Force to End Com­munist Insurgency.

“We agree that end­ing the communist insurgency in the country entails a whole-of-govern­ment approach,” ani Roque.

“The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), which requested the creation of a national inter-agency task force may wish to coordinate and submit it’s formal recommendation to the Office of the President, through the Office of the Executive Secretary, for the drafting of an executive order in this regard,” dagdag niya.

Napaulat na hinimok ni AFP chief of staff Gen. Carlito Galvez si Pangu­long Duterte na magbuo ng isang task force upang pagsamahin ang pagsu­sumikap ng mga ahensiya ng pamahalaan upang tapusin ang rebelyon ng Communist Party of the Philippines-New People’s Army .

Kamakailan, inihayag ng Pangulo na magagapi ng pamahalaan ang rebelyong komunista sa unang quarter ng 2019 dahil bumagsak na ang NPA fronts sa Mindanao at maraming rebelde ang nagbalik-loob na sa pamahalaan.
