NAGPASYA si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na tuldukan ang serbisyo nina Jose Gabriel M. La Viña at Amado D. Valdez bilang Commissioners ng Social Security System (SSS).
“Now, let me announce too that the Executive Secretary has formally informed Mr. Jose Gabriel M. La Viña (Pompee), as well as Mr. Amado D. Valdez that their term of office, both of which expired 13 June 2017 as Commissioners of the SSS will not be renewed. The appointments of Mr. Jose Gabriel M. La Viña and Mr. Amado D. Valdez as Commissioners of SSS will not be renewed when they expire on 30 June 2017,” pahayag kahapon ni Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque sa ginanap na press briefing sa Palasyo.
Si La Viña ay nagsilbing social media director ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte noong 2016 elections at kasalukuyang commissioner ng SSS Investment Oversight Committee habang si Valdez ang SSS chairman.
Kamakailan ay naggirian sa isyu ng insider trading sa stock market ang ilang opisyal ng SSS.
