78th Season ng UAAP Women’s Volleyball

SINIMULAN na ang ika-78 season ng University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) women’s volleyball tournament, na bahagi ng sports advocacy ng Philippine Long Distance Telecom (PLDT) Home Ultera.

Sina star spikers Alyssa Valdez ng Ateneo Lady Eagles, Mika Reyes at Ara Galang ng DLSU Lady Spikers at Jaja Santiago ng NU Lady Bulldogs ang itinanghal na brand ambassadors ng kilalang fast internet connection provider.

Ayon kay PLDT vice president and Home marketing director Gary Dujali, na-tutuwa siyang tanggapin ang mga nasa-bing atelta bilang kinatawan ng kanilang brand dahil nagsisilbing inspirasyon para sa kabataan kung ang pag-uusapan ay sports excellence.

“Each of them has harnessed consistent talent, passion and dedication both as individuals and as team members. We wish them luck and will be supporting them all the way through,” ani Dujali sa opisyal na pahayag.

Sa pagbubukas ng torneo, napalaban ang University of the Philippines (UP) Lady Maroons kontra sa University of the East (UE) Lady Warriors sa Filoil Flying V Arena sa San Juan City. Nasundan ito ng laban sa pagitan ng Ateneo Lady Eagles at National University (NU) Lady Bulldogs.

Bukas, Pebrero 3, haharapin ng University of Santo Tomas and Lady Eagles sa PhilSports Arena sa Pasig City with University of Santo Tomas, bago magsasagupa ang De La Salle University (DLSU) Lady Archers at Far Eastern University (FEU) Lady Tamaraws.
