Ben & Ben, sikat na rin sa South Korea

MUKHANG ang Ben&Ben ang pinakamatagumpay ngayon na folk-pop band sa bansa. Kasi nga ay hindi rito lang sa Pilipinas kilala kundi pati sa South Korea na maraming banda naman ang sikat na sikat sa ibang bansa (halimbawa’y ang BTS na pawang mga kabataang lalaki ang mga miyembro).

 

Ang Ben&Ben, na may siyam na miyembrong magkakahalong lalaki at babae (bagama’t mas marami ang lalaki sa babae), ay nakapasok kamakailan sa Melon Charts ng South Korea. Ito ay para sa awitin nilang Leaves.

 

Nadiskubre ng banda ang pagkasama nila sa South Korean music chart na ‘yon sa pamamagitan ng tweets ng fans nila rito sa Pilipinas.

 

Gulat na gulat, at galak na galak na nag-tweet din ang Ben&Ben ng: “I can’t believe it. We’re trending #1 in South Korea!” Nilakipan ng banda ang kanilang tweeted ng screenshot ng Melon Realtime Search Chart.”

 

On Facebook, they posted the same image but this time they described the feeling as “crazy.”

 

Sa paglaon, nadiskubre nilang kaya sila nag-number 1 sa chart ay dahil sa Korean pop idols na sina Mark Lee at Young K’s V Lives. Nag-post pala sa V Live nila tungkol sa Ben&Ben si Young K ng bansang DAY6 at si Mark Lee ng bansang NCT. 

 

Ang post ni Young K ay: “Ben&Ben’s ‘Leaves,’ it was amazing. Wow, I was surprised.

 

“Of course, anytime! I’d be honored [to do a collab with them] because they’re amazing.

 

“I was surprised! They have a great voice and great music.”

 

Si Mark naman ay pinatugtog ang Leaves ng Ben&Ben isang gabi at pagkarinig pa lang n’ya sa mga unang linya nito ay bumulalas na ng:

“Oh wow, everyone [listen to] the emotion [of the song].” 

 

Sinundan ‘yon ng pagpapasalamat sa Pinoy fans n’ya na nagrekomenda sa kanya na pakinggan ang Leaves ng Ben&Ben.

 

Ben&Ben was so pleased to hear the news from their supporters and shared snippets of the two live streams on their official Instagram page.

 

In it, they said, “This week, a lot of great K-pop acts discovered our music. Here is Young K of @day6kilogram and Mark of @NCT127!

 

“Thank you for appreciating ‘Leaves.’ We will listen to your music too.”

 

Pero may iba pang mga miyembro ng K-pop bands na humahanga sa Ben&Ben. K-pop idols like Red Velvet’s Wendy, NCT’s Renjun and Chenle, The Boyz, and ASTRO’s Cha Eunwoo have all declared their love for the band.

 

May netizens na nagsasabing panahon na nga siguro na makipag-collaborate ang Ben&Ben sa isang K-pop band.
