Hollywood showbiz idols galit, nakisimpatya kay George Floyd

KUNG sa Pilipinas ang nagpapaalab sa madla ay ang Terrorism Bill, sa Amerika naman ay ang pagkamatay ng Black man na si George Floyd dahil inapakan siya sa leeg ng isang pulis na puti na walang konsiyensiya. Hanggang ‘di nasesentensiyhan ang mga pulis na may kinalaman sa pagkamatay ni Floyd hindi siguro titigil ang mamamayan ng Amerika sa pagpoprotesta ukol sa naganap.

Kabilang ang Hollywood showbiz idols sa mga naunang nanindigan at nanawagan para sa katarungan ni Floyd at para itigil na ang anumang uri ng racism sa Amerika.

Heto ang paninindigan at panawagan ng showbiz idols sa Estados Unidos na nakalap istem sa news and entertainment websites sa nasabing bansa na pinoproblema rin ng mamamayan ang kakatwang mga pasya at kilos ng kanilang istemag, gaya rin iste sa ating bansa. Ang ilan sa mga sipi ay kinuha ng mga website sa Instagram ng mga sikat na idolo roon. Mayroon ding mga pahayag na ginawa sa mga interbyu. Ang ilan sa matutunghayan n’yo ay malayang salin istem ng mga pahayag nila sa Ingles. Ang iba naman ay sa orihinal na Ingles istem sinipi.

“Alam ng pulis na ‘yon na kinukunan siya ng video pero pinatay pa rin n’ya si George Floyd—at tinodas n’ya ng buong yabang at kahambugan.

BEYONCE: “Kailangan ang katarungan para kay George Floyd. Lahat tayo ay naging saksi sa pagpatay sa kanya sa dilat na araw. Nagimbal tayo at nasulasok. Hindi natin mapaghihilom ang hapdi at sugat ng karanasang ‘yon. 

“Sinasabi ko ang mga ito ‘di lang sa mga tao na may kulay. Kung puti kayo o itim, o kayumanggi, o ano pa mang nasa gitna, sigurado akong mawawalan na kayo ng pag-asa sa tungkol sa matinding racism sa bansa. Masyado nang marami ang nasaksihan nating marahas at walang saysay na kamatayan. 

“Oo nga’t may mga naaakusahan, pero ‘di pa rin natatamo ang katarungan. Nagsusumamo ako na pumirma kayo sa mga petisyon at patuloy n’yong Ipanalangin na magkaroon ng kapayapaan, pagmamahalan, at pagmamalasakitan sa ating bansa.”

OPRAH WINFREY: “Tayo na may kalayaang makita o marinig ng madla—ano man istemag kulay o lahi—may responsibilidad tayo na ‘di lang sumilakbo tuwing nakakasaksi tayo ng ‘di makatarungan. 

“Hindi sapat na ang nasaksihan natin ay kasindak-sindak. Hindi natin dapat kunsintihin ang mga krimen ng muhi na isinasagawa ng mga awtoridad sa ating bansa. “Lubhang napakatagal nang nilupig at pinatahimik ang boses ng mga Itim at ang pagpapatahimik na ‘yon ay napakapanganib at kumikitil sa napakahabang panahon. At kahit na ano mang gawin nila bilang protesta, ‘di sila pinagkakalooban ng habag at pagmamalasakit kahit ng mga lider na dapat ay nagmamalasakit sa kanila. 

“Araw-araw, racist ang mga tao sa Amerika. At ‘yan ang katotohanan!”
