NASA 31 kawani ng Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) ang nakatapos nang sumailalim sa 14-day quarantine at negatibo sa coronavirus (COVID-19) noong Sabado, 2 Mayo.
Nagsimula ang quarantine period noong 18 Abril ng MMDA personnel mula sa Metrobase, Flood Control Information Office at security department, holding office ng Metrobase building, kung saan sila namalagi.
“We are happy that our workers have completed the 14-day quarantine and have tested negative for COVID-19, none has shown any symptoms of being infected,” masayang pahayag ni MMDA chairman Danilo Lim.
Batay kay Joshua Salazar, Metrobase Operations Commander na kabilang sa na-quarantine, ang MMDA management ang nagbigay ng kanilang mga pangangailangan sa pagkain, gamot, damit, face masks, gloves, at iba pa sa loob ng quarantine period.
Aniya, habang nasa isolation, may daily teleconference sila sa mga opisyal ng MMDA sa pamamagitan ng Chief of Staff na si Michael Salalima at ang MMDA Medical Team ang regular nagmo-monitor sa kanilang health condition.
“The Medical team kept reminding us about the guidelines to prevent COVID-19. We wore face mask even inside the Metrobase, physical distancing was also strictly observed while we were eating and sleeping. We followed their advice to ensure that we do not infect others if we have the virus,” ani Salazar.
Napag-alaman na tuloy-tuloy lang ang regular na trabaho sa Metrobase kahit sila naka-quarantine.
Sila ang kabilang sa frontliners na naka-assign sa pagmo-monitor ng traffic at road activities sa closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras at nagbibigay ng technical assistance habang ang FCIC (Flood Control Information Center) ang nagmo-monitor at nagbibigay ng crucial information sa panahon ng crisis situations.
