BoC DepComm at director bakante pa rin

MARAMING nagtatanong ngayon sa bakuran ng Bureau of Customs, kung bakit hanggang ngayon daw ay wala pang nailalagay sa mga posisyon tulad ng deputy commissioners and directors sa mga bakanteng puwesto sa BOC.

Tiyak, maraming na-receive si Finance Secretary Dominguez na recommendations mula sa iba’t ibang sector.

Siguro po ay pinag-aaralan pa muna  nila ang kanilang qualifications, kung sila ba ay may kakayahan and if their loyalty and integrity is without question.

Kailangan, ang mga taong itatalaga niya sa BOC, he can trust to do the job. ‘Yan po ang importante, dahil siya ang accountable sa mga departamento to collect revenue tax for the government.

Habang ang bagong Commissioner of Customs na si Nicanor Faeldon ay ipinag-utos na linisin ang hanay ng customs personnel kasama ang contractuals to terminate their services kung sila  ay nasasangkot sa katiwalian.

Faeldon also instructed the two main officers in charge Mr. Sabban and Mr. Estrella to do the job to investigate and at the same time cleansing sa nangyayari umanong  maruming sistema sa hanay within the Intelligence Group (IG) and the Customs Intelligence and Investigation service (CIIS).
