“Ang tradisyon ng ‘Shake’ is always the excellence. Ito ang ating tradisyon for Shake Rattle and Roll.
“Lalo itong ‘SRR: Evil Origins’ na we have a number of big stars like Janice de Belen and Manilyn Reynes, Carmina Villaroel, Joey Marquez and Eddie Gutierrez.
“We have iconic episodes like Multo, Kulam and my personal favorite Aswang. Since then, for generation you’ve join us from Nanay Udin (a creature from 1991 episode), LRT Monster to Ahas, Flight 666, Wedding Dress (2009), and even the makululit na Christmas tree (SRR 9),” pagbabahagi pa ni Atty. Keith.
Keith, “When you look at peoples comment, there’s no clear answer, why? And I think the answer is simple. SRR belongs to every generation and every Filipino watching these stories.
“And tonight we begin a new era. We did ‘SRR’ to the whole new generation of these years MMFF. We maintain our iconic three episodes structures. Each episodes has it’s own stories that complete with each own iconic stars.
“Here you will continue to scream, laugh, cheer, cry. We’ll bring something new. Each episodes will have distinct look and own kind of horror. Each episode will emerse you to a different timeline… it will take you to 1775, 2025, and 2050. All three episodes are connected with a single myth. Cinematic journey of past, present and future introducing all of you to a new cycle of evil down to terrorize generatiions,” wika pa ng apo ni Mother Lily Monteverde.
At para kay direk Shugo Praico na direktor ng 1775 episodes, “We believe the real horror stories, the unforgettable episodes of this iconic franchise, are those horror that are rooten in real life.”
“Nag look back ako during covid pandemic and there are no specific words about the pain, tragedy of us. All of us we’ve lost a family, a neighbor, a friend, a love one. I root to that inspiration.
“Sinabi ko itong pelikula is lie an allegory, an oath to that stage of our generation na na-survive natin iyon. Siguro iyon ang nag-inspired sa akin…about the survival of the humanity during these harsh situation, harsh present situation. Tapos iniisip ko rin na what kind of fear that we can induce to the audience since na-mention ng ‘SRR’ and other horror films halos na-tackle na nila lahat what kind of fear.
“Ito we try to make it more subconscious na it’s about fear of the unknown, fear of not knowing what goes tomorrow.
At para kay Manay Gina, kakaibang horror experience itong SRR: Evil Origins na sa pagpunta sa final episodes, 25 years from, “imagine this is the Philippines, our nation is in total devastation, there’s drought, ‘wag naman sanang mangyari, there’s hunger and we are overrun by flesh eating creatures, we called them aswang. Ito iyong mga bagong breed ng aswang, no other nation helped us.
“So ang sakit, walang tumutulong sa atin. We face them alone. Hope lies in family ties and faith. Dito magra-rise ang isang matinding family, they will rise sa isang matinding chaos and then lahat ng ito ay manggagaling sa strong faith in God.
“We can even defeat the super natural if we have strong faith in God. Episodes 3 connect 1775, 2025, and 2050 then everything will make sense. Kaya excited kami na mapanood ninyo ito dahil ibang horror experience ito kaya let’s all shake rattle and roll together.”
Mapapanood ang SRR: Evil Origins simula December 25, na pinagbibidahan nina Janice de Belen, Manilyn Reynes, Arlene Muhlach, Carla Abellana, at Richard Gutierrez. Kasama rin sa tatlong episodes ng movie sina Ivana Alawi at Ara Mina, Francine Diaz, Seth Fedelin, Fyang Smith, JM Ibarra, Dustin Yu, Isabel Ortega, Loisa Andalio at marami pang iba.
