INIHAYAG ng QCinema International Film Festival ang pinakaambisyosong lineup sa industriya. Ito ay ang pagpapalawak pa sa rehiyon na abot hanggang Southeast Asia bilang paglulunsad ng isang bagong merkado ng pelikula, isang mas malakas na platform ng pagkakapantay-pantay ng kasarian, at isang pangunahing pagtuon sa pagkukuwento ng dokumentaryo.

“QCinema has always been a space where stories meet purpose,” ani Festival Director Ed Lejano sa idinaos na media conference  sa Noctos Music Bar sa Quezon City.

“Our goal is not just to showcase films, but to create connections that empower filmmakers and make Quezon City a home for Southeast Asian cinema,” dagdag pa ni Lejano.

Inorganisa ng Quezon City Film Commission (QCFC) sa ilalim ng Office of the City Mayor at pinangunahan ng Executive Director at Head ng QCinema Industry na si Liza Diño, ang platform ng QCinema Industry ay patuloy na umuunlad sa isang regional hub para sa co-production, pagsasanay, at malikhaing patakaran—isang hakbang na naaayon sa patuloy na bid ng lungsod na maging isang UNESCO Creative City of Film.

“We’re reimagining what an industry platform in Southeast Asia can be,” ani Diño. “QCinema Industry connects talent, institutions, and policy under one ecosystem—one that reflects our region’s strength, diversity, and shared creative voice.”

Sa gitna naman ng programming sa industriya ng QCinema ay ang QCinema Project Market (QPM), na sa taong ito ay nagtatampok ng mga proyekto mula sa halos lahat ng bansa sa Southeast Asia maliban sa Brunei—isang record milestone para sa inisyatiba.

 Kasama sa lineup ng Pilipinas ang Amateur, Daddy Cool, Dear Wormwood, Jaguar, Jollywood, KOMIXXX, Luzonensis and Floresiensis, Ozzy and Onie, Sentinel, The Void is Immense in Idle Hours, There Is, There Isn’t (Meron, Wala), at What’s Left of Us.

Sa rehiyonal na slate naman ay kasama ang Ghost of the Currents (Thailand), Penumbra (Singapore), Ray of Light (Thailand), Romdoul, the Evening Fragrance (Cambodia), Strange Root (Singapore), The River Knows Our Names (Vietnam), The Willing (Rela) (Malaysia), at When the World Is Paused(Myanmar).

“QCinema Industry is more than an annual gathering—it’s a platform for discovery,” ani Diño. “We’re building bridges between Filipino and Southeast Asian storytellers to shape a film culture that is globally recognized but rooted in our identity.”

Minarkahan din sa taong ang isang landmark partnership ng QCinema Industry at ng revitalized Film Academy of the Philippines (FAP), na ngayon ay nasa ilalim ng Office of the President at pinamumunuan ni Director General Paolo Villaluna.

Ang collab  ay binibigyanh-diin ang pakikipagtulungan sa bahaging propesyonal sa sektor ng screen, pagpapalakas ng mga guild, at pagpapalakas ng malikhaing paggawa sa buong Pilipinas at rehiyon. Ang FAP ay nagsisilbing co-presenter ng mga pangunahing programa ng QCinema Industry—kasama ang Asian Next Wave Film Forum, QCinema Project Market, at Dokyu Days—higit pang pagsasama-sama ng patakaran, pagsasanay, at pandaigdigang koneksiyon sa lumalaking ecosystem ng festival.

“This partnership signifies a unified industry vision,” ani Villaluna. “Together, we’re ensuring that Filipino and Southeast Asian filmmakers are equipped not only to tell their stories—but to sustain the industries behind them.”

Kabilang sa mga pinakamalaking inanunsiyo ay ang paglulunsad ng QCinema Film Market (QFM)—isang piot initiative na idinisenyo para magtatag ng Southeast Asian marketplace para sa film production at services.

Ginawa ito ayon sa American Film Market at Busan’s Asian Film Market na pinagsasama-sama ng QFM ang 15 exhibitors mula sa nangungunang produksyon, post-production, at distribution company ng Quezon City, na nag-uugnay sa kanila sa mga pandaigdigang mamimili at collaborator mula sa network ng QPM.

“This is where creative collaboration meets commerce,” wika ni Diño. “QFM will help local companies expand globally and position Quezon City as Southeast Asia’s production and post-production hub.”

Ang QCinema Industry 2025 ay gaganapin mula Nobyembre 17–23, 2025, sa buong Quezon City.
