Impeachment vs VP Sara inihain na ng Kamara

SA BOTONG 215, sinampahan ng impeachment case ng Kamara de Representantes si VP Sara Duterte. 

Batay sa Articles of Impeachment, seryoso ang mga alegasyon kay VP Sara kasama na ang banta sa buhay ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos, Jr.,  malawakang korupsiyon, pag-abuso sa kaban ng bayan, at pagkakasangkot sa extrajudicial killings.

“There is a motion to direct the Secretary General to immediately endorse to the Senate the impeachment complaint having been filed by more than one-third of the membership of the House or a total of members. Is there any objection? The chair hears none. The motion is approved. The Secretary General is so directed,” ani Romualdez.  

Bumuo na rin ang Kamara ng 11-miyembrong “prosecutors” kasama ang mga mambabatas na sina representatives Gerville Luistro, Romeo Acop, Rodge Gutierrez, Joel Chua, Jil Bongalon, Loreto Acharon, Marcelino Libanan, Arnan Panaligan, Ysabel Maria  Zamora, Lorenz  Defensor, at Jonathan Keith  Flores.

“This is about upholding the Constitution and ensuring that no public official, regardless of their position, is above the law,” ani Romualdez.  

Ang impeachment complaint laban kay Duterte ay kinabibilangan ng anim na malalaking paglabag, una, conspiracy to assassinate President Marcos, First Lady, and Speaker Romualdez; pangalawa, malversation of P612.5 million in confidential funds; pangatlo, bribery and corruption in Department of Education; pang-apat,  unexplained wealth and failure to disclose assets; panglima, involvement in extrajudicial killings (Davao Death Squad); at pang-anim, destabilization, insurrection, and public disorder.  

Isinumite agad ng Kamara ang Articles of Impeachment sa Senado kung saan ito ay diringin at pagbobotohan.

Tatayong Impeachment Court ang Senado. Two-thirds ang kailangan boto sa Senado upang tuluyang matanggal sa puwesto ang bise presidente.
