Ito ay matapos magwagi ang Negros Kingsmen sa Davao Chess Eagles, 12-9, 4-17, 2-1 (Armageddon), sa Southern division finals habang tinalo ng Pasig City King Pirates ang San Juan Predators, 15-6, 12-9, sa Northern division finals na tinampukang Wesley So Cup season 2 online chess tournament na ginanap sa Chess.com Platform Miyerkoles, 7 Disyembre.

Rodelio Solon, at Atty. Marlon Padayhag sa three-game playoffs.
Naiwasan ni FIDE Master Sander Severino ang pagkabokya ng kanyang koponan na Davao matapos daigin si Fide Master Mari Joseph Turqueza sa Board Three.
Dikdikan ang laban ng dalawang koponan, na naiselyo ng Negros ang panalo sa first match, 12-9, habang nakaresbak naman ang Davao team nina Atty. Jong Guevarra at team captain Chris Yap sa second match, 4-17 Disyembre para makapuwersa ng Armageddon.
Sa North division finals ay umasa ang Pasig City King Pirates nina mayor Vico Sotto, Coach Franco Camillo at Expedito Bolico sa mala bayaning panalo nina Grandmaster Mark Paragua, Grandmaster Oliver Barbosa, International Master Eric Labog, Jr., Kevin Arquero at draw ni International Master Cris Ramayrat Jr., para dominahin ang rapid phase, 9-5, at maiselyo ang tagumpay sa first set.
Una nang binigo ng Pasig ang San Juan, 6-1, sa blitz category.
Sa second set ay nakaungos ang Pasig sa San Juan, 4-3, sa blitz event ngunit namayagpag ang una (Pasig) sa rapid play, 9-5, para makapuwersa ng titular showdown sa Negros.

Ang PCAP, ang country’s first play-for-pay league, ay nasa magiting na pamumuno ni PCAP President Atty. Paul Elauria, suportado ng San Miguel Corporation, Ayala Land, at PCWorx na sanctioned ng Games and Amusement Board sa pakikipagtuulungan ng National Chess Federation of the Philippines sa gabay ni chairman/president Rep. Prospero “Butch” Arreza Pichay Jr.
