Nakalusot ang Laguna Heroes sa Rizal Batch Towers sa blitz game, 4-3, dahil sa tagumpay ng two-time Asian Junior Champion Grandmaster Rogelio “Banjo” Barcenilla Jr., Arena Candidate Master Michella Concio, at Richie Jocson at sa pag-draw ng game nina FIDE Master Roel Abelgas at International Master elect at FIDE Master Jose Efren Bagamasbad.
Ginapi ni Barcenilla si IM Richelieu Salcedo III, iwinasiwas ni Concio si Kelly Ann David Salcedo, Dinurog ni Jocson si John Paul Aquino, hati sa puntos si Abelgas kay NM Noel Dela Cruz at tabla rin si Bagamasbad kay NM Elias Lao.
Sina Phillip Simon Din at Gerone Anore ang nagbigay ng panalo sa Rizal matapos talunin sina Christian Nanola ng Laguna at AGM Kimuel Aaron Lorenzo, ayon sa pagkakasunod.
“We had an exciting match against Rizal. It was a close match. This is a good motivation for the team as we approach the quarterfinals against Isabela,” sabi ni Concio na playing assistant coach ng Laguna Heroes.

Nakopo ng Laguna Heroes ang third place honors sa Northern division elimination round.
