“I’m a social scientist, red tagging is labelling people, it’s really a lazy way of ID-ing people. It doesn’t explain anything ‘no, because I have to explain what those words mean so I hope people will stop using labels. ‘Wag na tayo mag-waste ng time sa mga red tagging red tagging na ‘yan because it denigrates people, walang ka-defense, defense lalo sa social media sinisigaw-sigaw mo ‘tas ayon naninira ka na ng tao tapos sasabihin mo mali hindi pala,” ani Carlos sa programang Sa Totoo Lang sa One PH kagabi.
“Let’s not do that as a social scientist i hope red tagging will stop because labels do not explain. Labels are not explanation,” dagdag niya.
“We have not really rooted it out completely because we are not paying attention to the critical valuables; what are the critical variables; these are the variables that will make things change. Of course we are paying attention to giving them jobs, education, justice, but it is not enough that means what we’re doing is not enough so I say if the local peace councils are a success let us continue doing it,” sabi niya.
“Let’s continue rooting out insurgency because that is a major security threat, increasing inequality in our society which nakita n’yo sa ibang bansa had in fact led to political violence,” giit niya.
“I’m sorry we will have to go now to the definition of national security. National security cannot just be defined by a military person because it is not just military.”
“I think it is a legal personality so unless Congress changes its mind it will continue and as far as I know I have not dug up kung ano pa ‘yung ano talagang nagagawa nito, as again to repeat if you have successes if local peace council and paying attention to the insurgents whose need to be paid attention to then continue doing that,” wika niya.
