Arjo magbibida sa remake ng Sa Aking Mga Kamay ni Aga

BIBIGYANG buhay ni Arjo Atayde ang pelikulang ukol sa isang serial killer na pumapatay sa mga babaeng nagtataksil sa asawa na ginampanan noon ni Aga Muhlach, ang Sa Aking Mga Kamay na ipinalabas noong 1996 ng Star Cinema.

Muling masasaksihan ng mundo ang husay ng 2020 Asian Academy Creative Awards Best Actor na si Arjo, sa The Rebirth of the Cattleya Killer na hango sa Sa Aking Mga Kamay.

Ayon kay Direk Ruel S Bayani, head ngABS-CBN International Production and Co-Production division si Arjo ang nakita nilang ‘best choice’ na bibida sa serye, na kanilang sisimulang i-shoot ngayong taon. 

“He has a proven track-record of giving justice to the diverse roles he has portrayed through the years. His depth and range as an actor will definitely give a fresh take on this 1996 classic,” sambit ng director.

“First of all, ABS-CBN never fails to surprise me all the time with all these characters. It’s one hell of a story. It’s one hell of a character, and it’s not normally done here.

“This is one of the most powerful stories that they’re gonna remake. I am proud to be part of it. Hopefully, the Cattleya Killer could be one if not the possible door to ABS-CBN stepping into the foreign industry,” sambit naman ni Arjo, na huling nagdala ng karangalan sa bansa sa kanyang pagganap sa critically-acclaimed iWantTFC original series na  Bagman.

Bagamat si Aga ang gumanap sa Sa Aking Mga Kamay, hindi naman nagpapadala sa pressure si Arjo. Katwiran niya, ”I don’t deal with pressure good (sabay tawa) medyo na-stress ako but instead hindi ko pinapansin.

“I don’t think of pressure because first of all no matter what they do Tito Aga is Tito Aga, he’s done his role, he receives the award for this as well, right?” sambit pa ng inaanak ni Aga.

Ang award-winning filmmaker na si Dan Villegas ang magdidirehe ng The Rebirth of the Cattleya Killer. Katulong niya sa paggawa ng serye ang mga Filipinong producer ng Almost Paradise, ang kauna-unahang U.S. TV series na kinuhanan ng buo sa Pilipinas na proyekto ng ABS-CBN kasama ang Electric Entertainment mula sa Hollywood.

Kasali rin ang The Rebirth of the Cattleya Killer sa 2021 Full Circle Series Lab, isang talent development program na pinangungunahan nina Matthieu Darras at Izabela Igel kasama ang Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP). Isa ito sa mga napiling konsepto mula sa buong Southeast Asia.
