“Senator Manny Pacquiao has nothing left to prove in the boxing ring. He will forever remain the People’s Champ, our Pambansang Kamao. We’re still proud of you, Manny,” ayon kay Velasco.
Kasama ni Velasco sina Ang Probinsyano party-list Rep. Ronnie Ong, Puwersa ng Bayaning Atleta (PBA) party-list Rep. Jericho “Koko” Nograles, Samar Rep. Edgar Mary Sarmiento, Deputy Speaker Bernadette Herrera, at Deputy Minority Leader and Bayan Muna party-list Rep. Carlos Isagani Zarate sa pagsaludo kay Pacquiao.
“It was a good fight. Despite his defeat, Senator Manny Pacquiao has shown so much class and character as a boxer. He is a true legend and I’m eternally grateful for the pride and honor that he has given to all Filipinos. Also proud for Mark Magsayo for his knockout victory.”
Para kay Nograles: “Still proud of our Bayaning atleta, Manny Pacquiao. He fought till the end. Congratulations to the winner Yordenis Ugas. He showed great sportsmanship when he shared his respect for the Champ. Ganyan ang sports. Ganyan ang boxing.”
“Congratulations to our very own Mark Magsayo for an impressive win against Julio Ceja. We are so proud for both of you,” ani Nograles.
Sarmiento: “I am still very proud for our Pambansang Kamao Senator Manny Pacquiao despite his loss to Yordenis Ugas.”
“It was a close fight and it was slugfest to the end. Sulit na sulit ang ibinayad ng boxing fans all over the world. Had he prepared longer for Ugas, I’m sure the result would have been different. Also so proud Mark Magsayo for his knockout win against Julio Ceja. We a have a new Manny Pacquiao in the making.”
Ani Zarate karapat-dapat na papurihan si Pacquiao.
“A mandirigma, he will continue to be the country’s living legend. When he comes back, we hope that Pacman the legislator will now focus his energy in our country’s fight to defeat this grave crisis aggravated by the (coronavirus disease-19) CoVid pandemic, including his crusade to knockout corruption in the government. Padayon, Manny,” ani Zarate.
“Ikaw pa rin ang kampeon sa puso namin. You gave it all. You have been our inspiration for the past decades. Saludo at Mabuhay ka Sen. Manny,” ani Herrera.
