Bidaman Dan dagsa ang offer

MATAPOS maging Top 6 finalist sa Ultimate Bidaman ng It’s Showtime noong 2019, dumagsa ang offer ng endorsements kay Dan Delgado.

“Commercials came pouring in, nakapag-commercial ako for Ponds, BDO and then I’m currently endorsing for a clinic, and I’m currently endorsing for a signage company.

“Right now, ‘yung  project na ginagawa namin ng signage company is Quaranegosyo na natutulungan ‘yung mga tao na naapektuhan ng pandemya, na ‘yung business nila mag-flourish and thru Quaranegosyo parang nag-set kami ng way where they can share kung paano nila pinaaangat ‘yung business nila thru this pandemic,” pagbibida sa amin ni Dan.

Unang beses pa lang na sumali ni Dan sa Bidaman at wala pa siyang ibang contest na nasasalihan.

“First time ko po ‘yun actually sa lahat.

“But then beforehand, I was a theater artist, sa Repertory Philippines. 

“And then 2019 of January medyo nag-shift na ako to… kasi I heard there were auditions for Bidaman for It’s Showtime. 

“Luckily, first time kong mag-audition doon, for any type of showbiz stuff and luckily nakapasok and ayun nakapasok sa finals until top six.”

Twenty-two years old na nang nag-audition si Dan sa Bidaman, bakit hindi siya sumubok pasukin ang showbiz o sumali sa mga contest noong 18 pa lamang siya para maaga-agang nakapag­simulang mag-showbiz?

“Well wala rin siguro akong alam sa mga contests or competitions due to… I didn’t have a management back then so wala talaga akong connection thru showbiz.

“But then once I heard that, actually this also came from an event that I did, na galing from someone from that event, parang they were asking me na may competiton na lalabas, na it was for ‘Showtime’ looking for the next leading man.

“Then sabi ko, ‘Okay, I’ll try’, so iyon. Then luckily nag-boom naman.”

Pagdating sa acting, drama and romcom ang genre na nais linyahan ni Dan, tulad ng idol niyang si Joshua Garcia.

Willing ba siyang magpaseksi kung kinakailangan?

“I don’t think I’m ready for that t, or siguro I don’t think I see myself going in that direction until I excel in drama or in my forte, then maybe I can explore na.”
