Nagbigay ng maling info sa DOH target ni Ping (Sa presyo ng Sinovac)

“SINO’NG nagbigay ng maling info sa Department of Health (DOH)?”

Ito ang tanong ni Senador Panfilo “Ping” Lacson matapos mabun­yag ang mababang presyo ng bakunang Sinovac kada dose nito sa pagdinig ng Senate Committee of the Whole na pinamumunuan ni Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III ukol sa road map plan ng pamahalaan sa bakuna laban sa CoVid-19.

Ayon kay Lacson, sana  hindi niya kayang tanggapin ang sagot ni Health Secretary Francisco Duque III na nakuha nila ang impormasyon at presyo sa pamamagitan ng “Google.”

Bagay na hindi sinakyan ni Lacson kaya nagdagdag ng tanong sa DOH, kung saan nila nakuha ang data o impormasyon sa presyo at sino ang nasa likod ng pagbibigay ng imporma­syon sa ahensiya.

“Unverified reports that some shenanigans working behind the scene might have fed the DOH the unreasonably high price of the Sinovac vaccine could lend credence to the attempt to dupe the Filipino taxpayers even during a pandemic,” ani Lacson.

Magugunitang sa pagdinig ng senado, inamin ng ilang mga imbitadong panauhin na naglalarao kada 500 hanggang 600 ang presyo nito.

“As early as Oct. 14, 2020, it was reported that the price of Sinovac vaccines in Indonesia was about P683. There is also a price range of P650 to P700 per dose that was relayed to us. This is quite far from the P3,629.50 submitted by the DOH to the Senate finance committee in December last year for the 2021 budget deliberations,” dagdag ni Lacson.

Binigyang-linaw ni Lacson, hindi masisisi ang mga senador na magduda at magtaka noong tumanggi si vaccine czar Secretary Carlito Galvez, Jr., sa tunay na presyo ng Sinovac vaccine.

Matatandaang ma­ging sa ginanap na press conferenece ni Presidential Spokeperson Harry Roque, Jr., inihayag nito na hindi dapat maging mapili ang publiko at tanging Sinovac lamang ang available sa Pebrero hanggang Hunyo ng taon.

“If we are late in inoculating our people, the economy will suffer. This is amid projections the Philippines will be the last to recover economically from the pandemic,” paglilinaw ni Lacson. (NIÑO ACLAN)
