Malawakang imbestigasyon vs korupsiyon suportado ng Kamara

SUPORTADO ng Mababang Kapulungan ang panawagan ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na magkaroon ng malawakang imbestigasyon kauganay ng korupsiyon sa gobyerno.

Ayon kay House Speaker Lord Allan Velasco kasama ni Pangulong Duterte ang Kamara sa tangkang linisin ang pamahalaan laban sa mga tiwaling opisyal.

“The House of Representatives fully supports President Rodrigo Duterte’s directive for the conduct of a large-scale investigation into allegations of corruption in the entire government,” ayon kay Velasco.

Aniya, naintindihan ng liderato ng Kamara ang pagkabigo ng pangulo sa patuloy na korupsiyon sa administrasyon.

“We fully understand that the President is doing this out of his frustration over chronic corruption in government, and the House leadership is one with him in his desire to rid the bureaucracy of corrupt officials and employees in the remainder of his term,” pahayag ni Velasco.

Importante umanong banggitin ang direktiba ng pangulo ay ginawa bunsod ng balitang sangkot ang ilang mambabatas sa katiwalian kaugnay sa nga proyekto sa Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

Naunang napabalita na ang ilang opisyal ng Kamara ay nagkaroon ng sobra-sobrang laki ng pondo sa mga proyekto sa nasasakupang distrito.

Isa na rito ay si Camarines Sur Rep. LRay Villafuerte na nagkaroon ng P11-bilyones sa kanyang distrito.

Aniya nakalulungkot na ang mga mambabatas at ang mismong institusyon ay nasasangkot sa kontrobersyang ito.

“While we are saddened that some congressmen and the institution have been dragged into this controversy, we welcome such probe by any government agency, as an investigation by the House would be self-serving and would only create a cloud of doubt,” ani Velasco.
