AAKSIYONAN ni Regine Velasquez ang mga basher na umalipusta sa pagkatao niya at sa kanyang pamilya. Pero hindi ang pagdedemanda ang gagawin niya.
“I am doing something, I’m talking to some people how to make… alam mo ‘yung to make complaining easier for all of us. Kumbaga parang pareho rin, ‘pag gusto mong magreklamo pupunta ka ng NBI, pero ito you just go to their link [website] and you put everything in there.
“Kasi there’s a cyber law naman eh, mayroon namang existing na cyberlaw.
“But you know what’s funny pa? What’s not right actually is people are actually laughing at this law, they’re laughing at it and it’s sad.
“There’s a reason why it was there. And I felt really sad that they’re mocking the law and they were laughing about it, and so I thought maybe really we should do something about it, it’s not enough anymore that we just… kumbaga ‘yung gagawa tayo ng awareness about cybercrime, it’s not enough, there has to be another way.
“And feeling ko sa generation natin, magtutulong-tulong tayo, puwede nating magawa ito. We could actually make a difference. For me kasi, ‘yun bang itong social media that we are all enjoying, it’s to make friends.
“Doon sa mga medyo mahiyain ang dali to make friends kahit na medyo mahiyain ka, in Facebook you can do that, in Instagram puwede kang mag-post ng picture mo kasehodang i-edit mo ng i-edit ‘yan, basta happy ka.
“It’s to make us all feel happy and to make us all feel that we belong, and then there are these people who try and ruin it for all of us, hindi ba?
“So, I’m trying to do something to eliminate those people, to make it easier for all of us to complain at may mararating ‘yung complaints na ‘yun. So, hopefully…hindi ko alam kung mayroon talagang mangyayari, kasi kailangan ko ‘yung support ng government eh, coz it’s such a big task.”
Sino ang kausap niya tungkol dito?
“Hindi ko pa puwedeng sabihin but I’m talking to someone. I’m talking to someone na para bang hopefully… kasi iniisip ko biruin mo ako ang tanda ko na, 48 years old na ko, na-a-affect pa ko, nasasaktan pa ko, paano na lang ‘yung mga mas bata and hindi masyadong stable, ‘di ba?
“And marami talagang nade-depress ah, dahil nabu-bully sila sa social media, and it’s not good.
“And I’m doing this for my children, ‘yung daughter [Leila Alcasid] ko nga is also a victim of bullying eh, so at least man lang masabi ko sa sarili ko na may ginawa ako.
“So ayun lang, I’m trying to do something, hopefully something will come out.”
Ano ang message ni Regine sa lahat ng nam-bash sa kanya sa paglipat niya sa ABS-CBN?
“Ha! Ha! ha! Message ko? Ano ba message ko?

“ Actually ano lang, ‘yung totoo, I was kinda expecting that I will actually have that, kasi ganoon talaga eh, they’re…parang they’re supporters of GMA, and I totally understand, I’m okay, it’s just that ‘pag ikaw kasi ‘yung bina-bash it’s so hard not to get hurt.
“Even if you say hindi ko na lang papansinin, pero ‘pag nakakabasa ka ng masasamang words, it’s very hard to keep quiet. So, I thought like, I needed to say something and defend myself, hindi naman ako nakipag-away, I just needed to defend myself.
“I don’t think that’s wrong, I think it’s also my right, since I was being called many names, so ayun lang, thank you pa rin for doing that and thank you for… nagte-thank you ako roon sa lahat ng supporters ko na talagang nagtatanggol, talagang sila mismo ‘yung nakikipag-bangayan, they really didn’t have to but I appreciate what they’re doing for me, so thank you very much.”
