BIGONG makalusot sa Commission on Appointments (CA) ang pitong opisyal mula sa Commission on Audit (CoA), Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) at Civil Service Commission.
Ito’y nang i-invoke ni Senate Minority Leader Juan Ponce Enrile ang Sec. 20 ng CA rules para harangin ang kanilang ad-interim appointments.
Kabilang sa naharang ang appointments ay sina Hon. Isabel Dasalla-Agito bilang Commissioner ng COA; Hon. Nieves Osorio, bilang commissioner ng Civil Service Commission (CSC); Charles Jose, Chief of Mission, Class I, bilang Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Malaysia; Dennis Lepatan, Chief of Mission, Class I , bilang Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Kingdom of Norway; Celia Anna M. Feria, Chief of Mission, Class II, bilang Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Kingdom of Spain; Uriel Norman Garibay, Chief of Mission, Class II, bilang Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Republic of Kenya; at Lilybeth R. Deapera, Chief of Mission, Class II, bilang Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Chile;
Paliwanag ni Enrile, dahil mahaba ang termino ng mga opisyal ay dapat ipaubaya na sa susunod na administrasyon ang kanilang kompirmasyon.
Samantala, bagama’t nakatikim ng panggigisa kay Enrile kaugnay ng Mamasapano operation na ikinamatay ng 44 miyembro ng Special Action Force (SAF), nakalusot ang 28 uniformed personnel ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) sa plenaryo ng CA.
Kabilang sa nakalusot ang dating spokesman ng DFA at Ambassador to South Korea na si Col. Raul Hernandez bilang reserve ng Philippine Navy.
