ILOILO CITY – Sinibak ang 13 opisyal ng PNP sa Region 6 nang mabistong hindi sila nag-uulat nang tama ukol sa crime statistics ng kanilang mga kinasasakupang lugar.
Ipinag-utos mismo ni PNP chief, Dir. Gen. Alan Purisima ang relieve order sa 13 police officials matapos matuklasan na halos 40 porsyento ng mga kaso na nangyayari sa kanilang area ay hindi nai-report.
Kabilang sa mga ini-relieve ay sina S/Supt. Pedroto Escrilla, provincial director ng Aklan Police Provincial Office (APPO); S/Insp. Elberto Pudadera, chief of police ng Santa Barbara Municipal Police Station sa lalawigan ng Ilo-ilo; Supt. David Cachumbo, Jr., chief of police ng Bago Police Station sa Negros Occidental; Insp. Anthony Grande, chief of police ng Pulupandan Municipal Police Station sa Negros Occidental; Supt. Calixto Mabugat, chief of police ng Kabankalan Municipal Police Station sa Negros Occidental; Supt. Rosauro B. Francico, Jr., chief of police ng Silay City Police Station sa Negros Occidental; S/Insp. Ahlie Estember, chief of police ng Jordan Municipal Police Station sa lalawigan ng Guimaras; C/Insp. Norby Escobar, chief of police ng San Jose de Buenavista Municipal Police Station sa lalawigan ng Antique; P/Insp. Frankie Gatila, chief of police ng Libertad Municipal Police Station sa Antique; P/Supt. John Limwell Villafranca, chief of police ng Kalibo Municipal Police Station sa lalawigan ng Aklan; S/Insp. Ricky Bontogon, chief of police ng Ibajay Municipal Police Station sa Aklan; S/Insp. Francisco Balais, chief of police ng Buruanga Municipal Police Station sa Aklan; at S/Insp. Joefer Cabural, station commander ng Boracay TAC sa Aklan.
Bukod sa mga nabanggit, may 17 former police commanders pa sa Rehiyon 6 na isinasailalim sa pre-charge investigation sa parehong pananagutan.
Ang nabanggit na mga opisyal ay ipinatawag kahapon ni Police Regional Office 6 director, C/Supt. Agrimero Cruz Jr. para kunan ng paliwanag.
