NAGBUBUNYI nga ang TVJ, Dabarkads, at mga supporter ng E.A.T., at EB dahil kinansela ng IPO o Intellectual Property Rights office ang isinampang kaso ng TAPE Inc hinggil sa karapatang paggamit ng mga salita/titulong EB at Eat Bulaga sa TV at ibang platforms.

Sa inilabas na desisyon ng IPO, pinaboran nito ang TVJ dahil hindi napatunayan ng TAPE Inc kung paano nilang na-acquire ang EB/Eat Bulaga titles.

Isang napalaking tagumpay ito para sa dabarkads nina Tito Sotto, Joey de Leon, at Vic Sotto na tila matagal ding nanahimik at naghintay sa mga labang legal nila.

At ngayon ngang sila ang napaboran ng desisyon, maituturing nga itong napakasaya at bonggang Christmas gift para sa kanila.

Nakuhanan namin ng pahayag/reaksiyon ang TAPE Inc sa pamamagitan ng kanilang abogadong si Atty. Maggie Garduque.

Sagot sa amin ni Atty. Garduque, “Yes I read this news. TAPE’s handling lawyer for IPO cases, Atty. Siao has not received a copy of said decision yet. But if this is  true, under the rules, TAPE can appeal this decision to the director of the BLA of IPO. If still unsatisfied with the decision of the director, they can still appeal it to the director general of the IPO. TAPE Inc will avail of all legal actions/remedies to reverse this decision.”
