BIGYANG-DAAN po natin ang isang mahalagang Press Statement ng Philippine Sports Commission na mahalagang malaman ng mga nagmamahal sa sports:
“The Philippine Sports Commission successfully facilitated the meeting between Mr. Ernest John Obiena and the Philippine Athletics Track and Field Association (PATAFA) this afternoon via zoom, as previously agreed by both parties during the mediation finalization.
PSC Chairman William I. Ramirez who served as Sole Mediator of the proceedings expressed his gratitude for the good cooperation of both parties and is pleased to see the kind exchanges during the meeting.
Also with Chairman Ramirez were PSC Executive Director Atty. Guillermo B. Iroy, Jr., Office of the Solicitor General’s ASG Bernard Hernandez, Philippine Dispute Resolution Center Inc.’s (PDRCI) Executive Director Atty. Arleo Magtibay, PDRCI Board Member and Chairman of the PDRCI Sports Arbitration Committee Atty. Charlie Ho.
Chairman Ramirez closed the session by saying: “It is a learning experience for all. For us in the PSC, this experience is historical because it is our first-ever foray into sports mediation, and it showed us areas where we can craft policies for improvement.”
The PSC reminded all concerned parties to treat all information, discussions, and exchanges confidential, as previously agreed on by all.”
