Alice ‘pinuntirya’ rin ng mga politiko

MASAYANG ikinuwento ni Alice Dixson na may mga nanligaw sa kanyang mga politiko noon pero wala siyang natipuhan.

Natanong kasi si Alice kung noon ba ay pinangarap niya maging first lady.

Ginagampanan kasi niya sa GMA Telebabad series na First Lady si Ingrid, ang ex-girlfriend ng kasalukuyang presidente na si Glenn, na ginagampanan naman ni Gabby Concepcion.

Bago naging artista ay unang nakilala ng publiko si Alice bilang kinatawan ng Pilipinas sa Miss Internationalnoong 1986.

Kuwento ni Alice, “Mayroong mga nanligaw pero hindi ko sila type. And to be first lady, hindi ko naman ‘yan naisip.

“There are a lot of, let’s say, a lot of, hindi naman a lot, there were some suitors that were on the political side but wala talaga akong na-type-an.”

Para kay Ms. Pilar Pilapil, na isa ring beauty queen, kahit kailan ay hindi niya naisip o pinangarap na maging first lady.

Aniya, ”Well, we have been beauty queens but thinking about being first lady has never crossed my mind, actually.

“But what crossed my mind was to be able to help the country and that’s why I ran for senator before in 2004 and that’s what crossed my mind. That’s what I wanted to really do, to be able to be of help to the country and to do public service.

“But I believe that now that I am already spiritual and I’m also doing a lot of ministry work, I have a foundation, I’m able to fulfil that through my foundation.”
