Dolomite beach ground commander sinibak

SINIBAK ang ground commander ng Manila Bay dolomite beach kasunod ng kabiguang pigilan ang pagdagsa ng libo-libong tao sa lugar, ayon sa Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).

Inihayag  ni Environment Secretary Roy Cimatu na tinanggal niya si Director Jacob Meimban, Jr., bilang ground commander ng dolomite beach at pinalitan ni Reuel Sorilla, Director ng Environmental Law Enforcement and Protection Service.

“Being the commander, he takes full responsibility for what happened. While appreciating the gesture of that, kailangan imbestigahan pa rin naman,” ayon kay Cimatu sa isang press briefing.

“I selected a retired general for enforcement because the issue here is enforcement,” dagdag niya.

Inulan ng batikos ang paglabag sa health protocols nang dumugin ang dolomite beach nang buksan muli sa publiko sa nakalipas na dalawang linggo na maaaring maging sanhi ng muling pagtaas ng kaso ng CoVid-19.

Nanawagan kamakalawa si Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domogoso sa Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) na sampahan ng kaso ang mga opisyal ng DENR sa paglabag sa health protocols sa pagbubukas sa publiko ng dolomite beach. (ROSE NOVENARIO)
