INIHATID ng Cebu Pacific ang una nitong government-procured vaccine shipment mula Beijing, China patungong Maynila nitong Huwebes, 29 Abril, katuwang ng Department of Health (DOH).
Dumating ang may kabuuang 500,000 doses ng Sinovac vaccines sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) kahapon, 7:18 am sakay ng Flight 5J 671.
Patunay ang patuloy na pagdating ng mga bakuna ng dedikasyon at pagsisikap ng pamahalaan na mapababa ang bilang ng kaso ng CoVid-19 sa bansa upang makamit ang ‘herd immunity.’
“Our number one priority is to get the country back on track, and we are doing all we can to secure millions of vaccines from various sources all over the world. Collaborating with airlines in this endeavor is of utmost importance – the sooner we secure the vaccines and the faster these are distributed, the quicker we can finally get past this pandemic,” ani vaccine czar, Sec. Carlito Galvez, Jr., chief implementer ng National Task Force against CoVid-19.
“We remain optimistic about the Philippines’ vaccine program and look forward to working even more closely with Cebu Pacific and our other Philippine carriers for future vaccine shipments,” dagdag ni Galvez.

Inaasahang ipamamahagi ang mga bakuna sa mga lalawigan sa mga susunod na araw, na lubos na susuportahan ng Cebu Pacific sa pamamagitan ng pinakamalawak nitong domestic network.
Sa kasalukuyan, nakapaghatid ang Cebu Pacific ng higit sa 760,000 doses ng bakuna, na hindi bababa sa 264,000 ang naihatid sa anim na pangunahing lungsod sa Filipinas: Bacolod, Cotabato, Puerto Princesa, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, at Zamboanga. (KARLA OROZCO)
