PNP hilahod sa dagok ng pandemya

PINANGANGAMBAHANG lalong tumaas ang kaso ng CoVid-19 sa hanay ng mga pulis sa bagong kautusan sa isasagawang ‘sona’ sa mga komunidad para kunin ang mga may sintomas ng virus mula sa kanilang bahay, ipa-swab test at dalhin sa quarantine facilities ang mga nagpositibo.

Ayon kay acting Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Lt. Gen. Guillermo Eleazar, umabot na sa 2,068 ang active CoVid-19 cases sa PNP noong Sabado, 27 Marso.

Animnapu’t anim sa kanila’y nasa mga pagamutan at 2,002 ang nasa quarantine facilities.

Aniya, 63.1  porsiyento o 1,304 ay nasa National Capital Region (NCR), 15.5 % ay mula sa NCR Police Office (NCRPO) at 18.5 porsiyento ay mula sa Camp Crame.

Nakapagtatala aniya ng mahigit 1,000 active cases kada araw ang PNP mula 16 Marso kaya’t nagdagdag ng isolation facilities.

Kinompirma ni Eleazar ang kumalat na video sa social media na nagpakita kung gaano nagsisiksikan ang mga pulis sa Kiangan Emergency Treatment Facility.

“We confirm that it indeed happened early this week at a time when the PNP was recording unprecedented number of CoVid-19 cases. But measures were immediately undertaken during that time to provide the medical needs of our personnel such as deployment of more PNP medical and healthcare workers at Kiangan, deployment of more beds and setting up of more tents purposely to accommodate more personnel beyond the isolation facility’s maximum 55-bed capacity,” pahayag ng heneral.
