He was accused of being rude, wanting of breeding and a veritable unprofessional basically because of the way he talked to Miss Bohol Pauline Amelinckx at the Q&A portion of the Top 15 candidates.
Pauline was judged as the Miss Universe Philippines third runner-up.
“Alright, our next contender is Miss Bohol. How are you doing, Pauline?” asseverated KC.
Magiliw at well poised na sagot ni Pauline, “I’m doing good. Thank you for asking. How about you?”
At this juncture, kunwari’y pinandilatan ni KC si Miss Bohol and said, “Oh, no one ever asks me questions.”
Game na balik-sagot ni Pauline, “Sorry, should I not have done that?”
The camera was able to capture Pauline laughing then she turned serious.
“It’s okay, I’ll go ahead and read what you’re supposed to comment on.”
KC tweeted: “Just a heads up, the exchange between me and Ms. Bohol was edited.
“The exchange was actually a couple of minutes more of us joking with each other.
“Unfortunately it was cut and edited for time.”
Para patunayang nagsasabi siya nang totoo, nag-request pa raw si KC ng kopya ng unedited video to prove his point.
KC could not comprehend why he was called ‘bastos’ when small talks such as these is a big help for the contestants to feel at ease.
“Not to mention, when I interviewed her in the top 5 we were chit chatting too,” he further added.
“Please let me put this out there. KC is a great and engaging host.
“We had small talk on stage before the QnA which helped me take a breath and calm my nerves before answering the Question.
“That part was indeed cut short for airtime.
“Regardless, what he said in response to me asking how he was doing was just humor to me.”
In the end, Pauline said that people tend to misinterpret the verbal exchange between her and KC.
“No harm was done in my eyes.
“But this has gone out of hand and I just want to remember the entire experience in the most positive way possible, because it was a positive experience to begin with.”
