Mangaoang ng BoC misquoted na na-fake news pa (Umapelang tanggalin sa social media)

UMAANGAL ang “whistleblower” ng Bureau of Customs (BoC) na si Atty. Lourdes Mangaoang dahil sa kumakalat sa social media na umano’y sinabi niyang ‘pinakamasamang administrasyon’ kay Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.

Isang netizen sa pangalang Nepthalie R. Gonzales ang nag-post ng larawan ni Atty. Mangaoang katabi ang umano’y direct quote na, “In my 30 years of service to the Bureau of Customs, pinakamalala sa kurapsyon ang administrasyong ito.”

Kumalat ito mula noong 13 Abril at may 1,903 shares at 359 reactions.

Pero matapang na sinabi ng abogada na iyon ay “fake news.”

Aniya, “First of all, I did not make that statement in any occasion. Secondly, I do not know Nepthalie R. Gonzales and I do not recall having met her or talked to her. So quoting me has no basis at all,” ani Mangaoang.

“I am being misquoted by Gonzales and the FB post is not only out of context but also they are not my words,” pagkaklaro pa ng abogada.

Magugunitang si Mangaoang, dating X-ray division chief ng BoC,  ay humarap sa Mababa at Mataas na Kapulungan ng Kongreso sa imbesto­gasyon ng P11-bilyong shabu shipment nakalusot sa bureau noong nakaraang taon.

Sinabi niya sa House & Senate probe, ang magnetic lifters sa Cavite na natagpuan ng Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) ay hindi maaaring walang laman na ilegal na droga base sa kanyang X-ray image analysis.

Humarap din noon si Mangaoang sa media hinggil sa lapses ng BoC nang i-release ang magnetic filters, pero hindi niya umano sinabi na ang Duterte administration ang worst.

Kasunod nito, nanawagan si Atty. Mangaoang sa iba’t ibang grupo na kritikal sa kasalukuyang administrasyon na huwag siyang gamitin dahil hindi niya sinabi ang kumakalat na pahayag.

“For the purpose of discrediting the Duterte administration or driving a wedge between me and the Duterte supporters,” anang abogada.

“I ask those who posted the fake statement in FB to take it down or I will be compelled to file charges against them for violation of the Cybercrime Law,” pahayag ni Mangaoang.

“I fought for justice and the truth and I will continue to do so for our beloved Philippines and the present and future generations of Filipinos,” dagdag ng abogada.
