ILANG araw ng masama ang pakiramdam ni Kris Aquino kaya palaisipan sa Team KCAP kung makadadalo siya sa ginanap na 2018 PeopleAsia’s People of the Year awards night na ginanap Lunes ng gabi sa Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila’s Grand Ballroom.
Nakahanda naman na ang gagamiting damit ni Kris na gawa ni Roland Mouret at maging si Bimby Aquino Yap na escort ng ina ay handa na rin ang isusuot na Barong Tagalog na gawa naman ni Bang Pineda. Ang KCAP staff ay ay nagbihis na rin baka sakaling makadalo nga sila.
Alas-singko ng hapon nang makaramdam na kaya ni Kris dumalo kaya kaagad na siyang nagbihis at sakto, alas-sais ng gabi ay papunta na sila sa Sofitel base sa mensahe ng staff niyang si Jack Salvador ng, ”we’re on our way to Sofitel.”
Ang parangal ay taunang ibinibigay ng PeopleAsia sa mga kilalang personalidad na nagsikap para maabot ang kanilang mga pangarap at nakilala sa iba’t ibang larangan sa industriya ng showbusiness at entrepreneur.

“Tonight- I forced myself to go to Sofitel for @peopleasia #peopleasia2017 awarding ceremony because it was my way of showing all of you that NOT GIVING UP is what makes you a winner.
“I distinctly recall a meeting, in all fairness a very well-meaning one- meant to help me get back on track during the 4th quarter of 2016- and 1 of the “suggestions” given to me was to refrain from wearing yellow. Well, as you probably all know I like marching to the beat of my own drum. PINK has always been my favorite color- but I wore a yellow @roland_mouret gown tonight because the fact is- tonight’s recognition happened because KCAP & I did it our way.
“We had no choice but to be outliers & disruptors. We had no recourse but to have the courage to take a risk, and guess what, the AUTHENTICITY is working. And I owe all this to you, the online community that has welcomed me when traditional broadcast media felt they no longer wanted nor needed me. Mukhang hindi pa rin okay ang pakiramdam ng Queen of Online World at Social Media dahil madaling araw kahapon (Martes) ay nagising siya dahil may lagnat na naman kaya ininuman niya ng gamot.
Base sa IG post niya, ”I told my 2 (sons) that they didn’t have to keep me company tonight because my fever’s still 38.2. Took my 1,000 mg of vitamin C & took Neozep Forte (sorry BioFlu but Neozep seems more effective for me).
“Diffusing lavender, eucalyptus, frankincense, and tea tree essential oils (I read up & they are supposed to give my immunity a boost.) Kuya & Bimb are the sweetest they drank their vitamins & said they just want to make me bantay (Bincai’s also w/ us & I also made her take vitamins to be sure.)
“We had shoots tomorrow BUT that’s the problem when you’re both the host & producer I take the financial loss because it’s better to REST & lose a day than force myself to work & possibly lose the Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday shoots. iI appreciate my KCAP Team & my KCA Food Team they promised to give me total peace to just sleep & recuperate tomorrow.
