Ex-AFP chief bagong Usec ng Palasyo

ITINALAGA ni Pangulong Benigno Aquino III si dating Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) chief of staff Emmanuel Bautista bilang Undersecretary sa Office of the President.

Magsisilbi si Bautista bilang executive director ng  security, justice, and peace and order cluster ng gabinete na direktang nasa ilalim ng pangangasiwa ni Executive Secretary Paquito Ochoa, Jr.

Ayon sa Executive Order No. 43, series of 2011, “the security cluster shall ensure the preservation of national sovereignty and the rule of law, and focus on the protection and promotion of human rights, and the pursuit of a just, comprehensive, and lasting peace.”

Naniniwala ang Pangulo na siya ay may kapasidad na magbigay ng mahalagang ambag sa pamamagitan ng kanyang kaalaman hinggil sa security situation batay sa kanyang karanasan bilang chief of staff ng Armed Forces at Commanding General ng Philippine Army, at bilang principal author ng Internal Security Plan Bayanihan, ang counter insurgency plan na may layuning wakasan ang mahigit apat dekadang armadong pakikibaka ng kilusang komunista sa bansa.
