“No to letting them join talent shows. It’s just me as a parent. I don’t think I could handle that.”
“No, it’s not the defeat. I just can’t handle everything. I don’t know. I could not. I know myself. I don’t want to put pressure on them. It takes something else.
“I know my capabilities and I know who I am. So, I know definitely na hindi ko kaya ‘yun. I could not do that,” salag naman ng astig daddy.
At kung gusto ring maging singer tulad niya, ”I hope not. Haha!” napangiting sagot ni Bamboo.
MAHIGPIT NA TATAY
Mahigpit palang tatay si Bamboo?
“Ah, anything, he can be anything he wants.
“Basta whatever your heart’s desire, whatever you want to be, just be there and just try to be the best. Strive your very best always, that’s it.
“Alam ko kasi it’s such a hard road, you know what I mean?
“In this business is not easy as they say especially when you are a recording artist and singing.
“It takes perseverance. It takes something special. That’s something I don’t want, you know, plan on myself alone. If they decide to do that, let it be. It will just happen lang,”pangangatwiran naman ng musikero.
‘DI MAHILIG SA GIMIK
Pero kung choice raw talaga ng mga bagets na sundan ang yapak ng kanilang ama,”well, then, go for it. All you have to do is to support them.”
“I’m very much a homebody. I’m a homebody and I just love being at home. That’s where I’m created. That’s where I’m happy and so, yeah,” say niya.
Of course when you’re younger, you go out with your friends,” salo kaagad ni Bamboo.
“I don’t think it’s gonna happen. I mean in the sense na there’s still Rivermaya.
“They still have an album, they’re still touring, still doing their thing, ‘di ba? So, it’s just weird to say a reunion na buo pa sila, right? Ako, I said, it doesn’t excite me in that sense to do a reunion show,” paliwanag ni Bamboo.
“We can do something different na gumawa kayo ng new material ‘tapos gawin ‘yung concert, because we all have evolved, we have changed in time, you know what I mean?
“It doesn’t excite me na we’re gonna sing ‘Ulan’ again na kami lang, you know what I mean?
“Because I’ve been singing that for the past how many years? We have evolved and changed. So, sa akin, get us in the studio, that’s gonna excite me more. Pushing forward!
“I mean, that would be my idea, that would be exciting. But just to do a reunion show, for me, it’s just making a buck and it doesn’t motivate me,” punto ni Bamboo.
