“The PBA and Sports5 will evaluate the first conference performance and we will figure out the appropriate steps after that,” wika ni Reyes. “The first step is an evaluation of the current set-up and the numbers with the PBA once we sit down with the other members of the program committee.”
“I have also relayed to Chot the desire of our team owners to have both games aired live starting next conference on TV5 in response to the clamor of the PBA fans,” ani Komisyuner Chito Salud. “TV5 has its constraints at this time and we don’t know if these constraints will be lifted later on. But the request is there from the team owners and fans. We are closely working with TV5 to make the coverage of the games even more responsive to the fans.”
“Our viewership on TV5 on a single live game basis is doing much better than the total viewership on IBC 13 on a two-game basis. This should give TV5 incentive to really air both the PBA games live because our fans are following the games closely. We’re in a much better channel in terms of signal, clarity, prestige and viewership,” pagtatapos ni Salud.
