Dear Mr. Lapid,
I write this letter in order to clarify some matters in your column last 20 November 2013. The first error was when you stated that I am working in the Legal Office of Manila City Hall. Second, that I am the son of Atty. Theodore ‘Teddy’ Te, the present spokesperson of Supreme Court.
As to the first error, though it is true I am currently employed by the City of Manila, my office of assignment is not the Legal Office but the City Administrator’s Office. As to the second and more serious error, I am not the son and am in no way related to the Supreme Court spokesperson Atty. Theodore ‘Teddy’ Te. You even insinuated in your column that this relationship may be affecting the pending disqualification case against President Mayor Joseph Ejercito Estrada.
Had you exercised more prudence in your research, you would have easily found out the truth behind the matter and could have avoided any kind of confusion simply by asking the parties involved.
I hope this letter will help you rectify whatever falsities your column may have created and I urge you to exercise more caution in your future articles. Thank you very much.
Very Truly Yours,
(Sgd.) Atty. Wryan Martin C. Te

Dear Ms. Galuno,
I write to you to correct a column written by your Mr. Lapid dated last November 22, 2013 where he stated that Atty. Wryan Te, my Deputy Administration for the City of Manila, is the son of Atty. Theodore Te, who is the spokesman of Supreme Court. He further insinuated that because of such relationship, the Supreme Court has delayed the consideration of the disqualification case against His Honor, President Mayor Joseph Ejercito Estrada. In addition, Atty. Theo-dore Te has ceased to have his comments against President Mayor Joseph Ejercito Estrada because of said circumstance.
The above-mentioned relationship between the two lawyers is totally incorrect and inaccurate; and is therefore misleading. If only your Mr. Lapid cared to investigate, he would have found out that Atty. Wryan Te is the son of Wilson Te from the City of San Juan and is not in any way related to Atty. Theodore Te.
I feel that this matter should be brought to your attention in order to avoid any kind of confusion and prevent any unnecessary innuendos.
Thank you very much and may this letter correct whatever misimpression the article has created.
Very truly yours,
(Sgd.) Atty. SIMEON E. GARCIA, Jr.
City Administrator
