INILILIGTAS ni Pangulong Benigno Aquino III sa kritisismo ang kanyang mamanukin sa 2016 presidential elections kaya hindi muna niya ibubulgar ang pangalan ng nais niyang maging susunod na pangulo ng bansa.
Ang gusto lamang ng Pangulo, kahit sino pa ang maging kapalit niya sa Palasyo ay maipagpatuloy ang kanyang mga nagawa o mahigitan pa.
“At the end of the day, I think they will have to address that which has all already been asked of me, ‘What will happen after you step down?’ Then obviously, you would want somebody not just to continue but perhaps, improve on what has already been accomplished. In effect, we’re asking them to step up higher given that they’ll be starting at a higher plane,” anang Pangulo sa Annual Presidential Forum ng FOCAP sa Manila Hotel kahapon.
Si Interior and Local Government Secretary Mar Roxas ang posibleng maging standard bearer ng Liberal Party sa 2016 presidential polls habang si Vice President Jejomar Binay ay matagal nang isinapubliko ang hangaring maging presidential bet ng United Nationalist Alliance (UNA).
