Makabayan Bloc kakasuhan sa SONA protest

NAKAAMBANG sampahan ng ethics case ang Makabayan bloc na nagprotesta sa loob ng plenaryo makaraan ang huling State of the Nation Address (SONA) ni Pangulong Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III nitong Lunes.

Napag-alaman, kinondena ni Quezon City Rep. Winston Castelo ang aksiyon ng grupo ng mga kongresista na nagtaas pa ng mga placard kontra kay PNoy.

“We will confer with House leadership and other on the liability of some of our colleagues who initiated that stunt to embarrass our guest (Aquino). We respect their rights to express our grievances. But there are other ways to do it without resorting to unparliamentary behavior. They could have joined the rallyist outside, called for a press conference or even deliver a privilege speech.”

Giit niya, “they are members of Congress and they should be bound by the rules of the institution (where) they belong. The act is totally outside accepted legislative behavior that warrants an investigation by the Ethics Committee. Their pattern of action should be looked into to avoid recurrence of it in the future.”
