P3-M ecstacy nasabat, suspek arestado

NASABAT ng mga tauhan ng Bureau of Customs ang tinatayang P3 milyong halaga ng party drug na ecstacy at naaresto ang tatanggap sana ng nasabing kargamento.

Ayon sa BOC Enforcement Group, nagsagawa sila ng controlled delivery ng 2,009 piraso ng orange-colored tablets mula sa The Netherlands, nagresulta sa pagkaaresto sa tatanggap sana nito sa Adriatico Residences sa Mabini Street,  Malate, Manila.

Kumuha ang Customs Anti-Illegal Drugs Task Force ng samples ng nasabing mga tableta at dinala sa Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency para sa beripikasyon,

Nabatid na ang mga tablet ay nagtataglay ng methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA), itinuturing na dangerous drug sa ilalim ng Republic Act 9165.

“Our accomplishments and good performance on anti-drug operations are clear manifestations of our commitment to eradicate illegal drugs, which fortunately, is in line with one of the programs of the incoming president, Rodrigo Duterte.

Likewise, since I recognize that the incoming president has a free-hand to choose whom to appoint for top-level positions in the BOC, I welcome the person who may be appointed to replace me as Deputy Commissioner for Enforcement,” pahayag ni EG Commissioner Ariel Nepomuceno.
