Ikalawang impeachment vs PBBM inihain ng Makabayan bloc

ISINUMITE ang ikalawang impeachment complaint laban kay Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. sa tanggapan ni House Secretary General Cheloy Garafil nitong Lunes.

Ito  ay inihain ng mga dating kongresista na sina dating Gabriela Rep. Liza Masa, dating Bayan Muna Representatives Teddy Casiño at Neri Colmenares, at BAYAN president Renato Reyes.

“The complaint arises from what may be characterized as the most systematic, brazen, and devastating scheme of corruption to plague Philippine infrastructure spending in recent history, the Flood Control Projects Corruption Scandal of 2022 to 2025,” ayon ss mga dating kaalyado sa Makabayan bloc.

“The magnitude of the offense is staggering. A total of P545.6 billion was allocated for flood control projects, with a disproportionate P100 billion concentrated in the hands of merely fifteen (15) favored contractors,” anila.

Tinukoy din sa reklamo ang naging pahayag ni dating Ako Bicol party-list Rep. Elizaldy Co kaugnay ng pagsisingit ng P100 bilyong halaga ng proyekto sa 2025 national budget na may basbas umano ni Marcos at ang kickback mula umano sa mga maanomalyang proyekto.

“This is also not a case of isolated irregularities. This is systematic, institutionalized corruption emanating from the highest office of the land— a hostile takeover of the state’s financial machinery to covert public funds into private wealth and political power,” sabi pa sa reklamo.

Binanggit din ang paggamit umano ng “unprogrammed appropriations scheme” upang pondohan ang mga maanomalyang proyekto.

Sa panayam, sinabi ni Tinio na umaasa sila na agad ipadadala ng Office of the Secretary General ang kanilang inihaing impeachment complaint sa Office of the Speaker upang maisama ito sa Order of Business kasama ang unang reklamo na inihain ni Atty. Andre De Jesus.

Ipinadala ng Office of the Secretary General ang reklamo ni De Jesus sa Speaker’s Office isang araw matapos itong ihain.

Kung isasama umano ang Order of Business ang unang reklamo lamang kahit na alam na ng Speaker’s Office na mayroong ikalawang reklamong inihain ay makikita umano ang “bad faith” sa panig ng Kamara.

Ayon kay Reyes, “Pag nag-refer sila mamaya e di halatang-halata na ‘yung script nila. Ibig sabihin wala talaga silang intensiyon na pakinggan ‘yung iba pang reklamo ang gusto lang nilang i-consider ‘yung naunang reklamo na tingin nila mahina at pakawala ng kung sinoman sa Malacañang para ma-exclude na ‘yung ibang complaints at ma-trigger ‘yung one year ban.”
