Professionals and amateurs teamed up as the golf course was set for the Pro-Am Tournament on October 22, swinging it together for a day of fun and learning about golf techniques. The VIP guests are from BingoPlus, CasinoPlus, ArenaPlus, GameZone, and other major partners, along with celebrities and the top five players from the Future Ace Program playing on the green fields of the Sta. Elena Golf and Country Club.
The tournament aims to amplify the developing golf scene in the Philippines, a Pro-Am event is a longtime tradition held before the main tournament where one professional player is paired with two to three amateurs, two sessions were allotted for everyone to experience the golf course while learning tips and tricks from champions of the sport and also interacting with their favorite player through the 18-hole course, the Pro-Am Tournament is also in line with the first International Series Philippines presented by BingoPlus, giving seasoned golf fans a chance to have a friendly match and practice with each other before the 4-day tournament.
Beyond the drive, putt and swinging through the fairways, the Pro-Am tournament served as a celebration of the sport before the much awaited International Series Philippines presented by BingoPlus, which was held with a ceremonial tee off and a traditional Filipino cultural performance by the talented Sindaw Philippines Performing Arts Guild who gave a captivating experience through their colorful and traditional dance, and was attended by executives from the Asian Tour, International Series, DigiPlus Interactive Corp., along with players Sean Ramos, Dustin Johnson, Patrick Reed, and Miguel Tabuena who will be playing in the tournament.
An all-elite line up was brought together for the tournament, including champions like Dustin Johnson & Patrick Reed with the country’s very own Miguel Tabuena who is ready for another win on his home turf and bringing in his global tournament experiences to the game and raising the Philippine flag and love for the sport, along with other local golfers aiming to be at the top at the end of the tournament, bringing national pride to the country for the first International Series Philippines presented by BingoPlus.
As passion meets opportunity, the top three winning teams being from the team of pro golfers, Wade Ormsby, MJ Maguire, and Sangmoon Bae at the end of the game for coming out on top, highlighting their achievements on the field and playing the game, creating a once in a lifetime experience as they were guided by the best golf professionals through the course.
The trophy is set for the winner of the tournament as golfers are ready to win it all as some of them play for the first time in the Philippines. As well as promote the International Series and BingoPlus’ Swing for Filipino Sports Dream, putting focus on the brand commitment to support the grassroots program in developing excellence through sports. As the sun set on the fairways all players celebrated the day at the VIP hospitality lounge with the view of the open field at the Sta. Elena Golf and Country Club, before the main challenge of the professional players begins on October 23-26 at The International Series Philippines presented by BingoPlus.
