The competition may have ended, but the path of aspiring Filipino athletes just started. Last October 19, new talents emerged and were acknowledged by the BingoPlus Foundation (BPF), International Series Philippines (ISP), and Asian Development Tour (ADT) at the Luisita Golf and Country Club in Tarlac City.

The Players Championship has been a door for better opportunities and new talents. Ken Kudo, the general manager of Asian Development Tour, led the awarding together with the executive director of BingoPlus Foundation, Angela Camins-Wieneke. They both admired the aptitude and skills of those who joined the competition in hopes of shaping the future of the sport in the country.
BingoPlus and the BingoPlus Foundation have always been strong advocates for athlete development. As the brand’s dedication to support this vision, the Foundation officially signed a memorandum donating 100,000 USD to the Asian Development Tour and 50,000 USD to the National Golf Association of the Philippines.

Furthermore, Angela mentioned that she is beyond excited and willing about this partnership between ISP and ADT. She also stated that this partnership is more than just a golf tournament; it is a body that opens new paths to the betterment of Filipino lives. “We’re very excited about this partnership with the International Series and the Asian Development Tour, because to us this is not just about presenting a tournament or creating a competition. It’s actually about opening a lot of doors for Filipinos.”
Global competitiveness
This partnership has lifted the brand to new heights. It is a strong message that BingoPlus and the BingoPlus Foundation are determined to give Filipinos more opportunities not just locally but also internationally. “Hosting it here [International Series], we are actually setting up the Philippines for the global stage.”
The global competitiveness of this collaboration enabled Filipino golfers, both amateur and professional, to experience world-class entertainment. It also helped create jobs for our local workers because of the alternating activities, such as mall shows and caravans in different provinces. “We’re actually doing a lot of events for this whole engagement across different provinces. And that’s a big thing for many of the industries and livelihood that’s involved in making history happen.” said Angela.
Subsequently, there will be a Pro-Am tourney on October 22, International Series on October 23-26, and a music festival that will explode on October 25 at the Aseana Concert Grounds featuring local and international artists.

One of the goals of the ADT was to nurture amateur players and help them in their professional golf journey. At the end of the competition, one Filipino player was recognized and was invited to play at the International Series Philippines, which will be held at Sta. Elena Golf and Country Club.
Enrico Gallardo, a longtime Filipino golf player, was one of those invited to the much-awaited tournament happening from October 23 to 26. For Gallardo, it was great for BingoPlus, the Asian Development Tour, and the International Series to host their events here in the Philippines. According to him, golf is his life, and he wants to showcase his talent and his game as he continues his journey to go pro and be one of the best.
