IM Young paborito sa ‘Pasalamat Festival 2022 Individual Rapid Chess championship

PABORITO sa hanay ng mga lalahok ang 8-time Illinois, USA chess champion International Master (IM) Angelo Abundo Young sa paglarga ng Mayor Samuel “Sammy” S. Co Pasalamat Festival 2022 Individual Rapid Chess Championship (Over the Board) sa 12 & 13 Enero 2022 na hahataw sa Rotunda Building 2nd Floor sa Pagadian City.

Ang dalawang araw na event ay suportado ni Mayor Samuel “Sammy” S. Co, ng Pagadian na inorganisa ng PagZamSur Professional Chess Players Association at ng Brotherhood of Knights of the Squaretable, Inc.

“I’m hoping for the best but the field is really tough,” sabi ni Manila resident Young na nakatakda rin lumahok sa National Master Zulfikar Sali Inter-Cities and Municipalities Chess Team Championship sa 22 & 23 Enero 2022 sa Zamboanga City.

Ang iba pang su-sulong sa Rapid event ay sina National Master Joey Florendo, National Master Paulo James Florendo at National Master Raymond Salcedo ng Zamboanga City, Roumundo Edades ng Lapuyan, Zamboanga del Sur, Jones Maghuyop ng Margosatubig, Zamboanga del Sur, Michael Ambuang ng Dipolog City, Joel Fernan ng Pagadian City, at Ghian Michael Basilad Aleria ng Panabo City, Davao del Norte.

Tatanggap ang magkakampeon ng P15,000. Ang second placer ay P10,000, third P6,000, fourth P4,000, fifth P2,000 at sixth P1,000.

“Players must be vaccinated to join (single dose is considered),” sabi ni Jezreel Lopez.
