‘Bakuna bubble’ sa malls pinalagan ng Solon

PUMALAG ang chairman ng House Committee on Constitutional Amendments sa mungkahi ng Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), ng Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), at ng mga dambuhalang negosyante na ibukas ang mga mall at iba pang negosyo para sa mga bakunado lamang.

Ayon kay Ako Bicol Rep. Afredo Garbin, Jr., hindi makatarungan ang ganoong klaseng mungkahi dahil iilan pa lamang ang bakunado.

“While I understand and agree with the science or reasoning behind the ‘bakuna bubble,’ I cannot agree on the proposal to open establishments for the vaccinated only, at least not at this time,” ani Garbin.

Aniya, wala pa sa 20 porsiyento ng populasyon ang nababakunahan.

“Obviously, it will not be fair and it is not a logical policy to deprive the unvaccinated when we cannot even provide access to vaccines,” hirit ni Garbin.

“The better policy is to ramp up vaccine procurement and inoculation and to encourage Filipinos to be vaccinated the soonest possible time,” dagdag ng kongresista ng Ako Bicol.

        Aniya, maaari lamang ipatupad ang “bakuna bubble” kung may “heard immunity” na at available na sa lahat ang bakuna.

“Once we have reached heard immunity or at least made the vaccines accessible to all then we can consider totally opening the economy or consider the implementation of the ‘bakuna bubble’,” anang kongresista. (GERRY BALDO)
