ANG bagong gawang 5-kilometrong diversion road na bumabaybay sa Rosales, Pangasinan ay malapit nang magamit ng mga motorista na nagpupunta sa ibang bahagi ng eastern Pangasinan, Nueva Ecija, at Nueva Vizcaya.
Nitong Biyernes, 30 Hulyo 2021, ininspeksiyon ni Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar ang proyektong tinawag na Carmen East-West Diversion Road sa kabila ng Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway (TPLEX).
Sinamahan si Sec.Villar sa nasabing project occular inspection nina Senior Undersecretary Rafael C. Yabut at Assistant Secretary Wilfredo S. Mallari ng DPWH Luzon Operations, DPWH Region 1 Director Ronnel M. Tan, Pangasinan 6th District Representative Tyrone D. Agabas, Party List Representative Conrado M. Estrella III, DPWH Pangasinan 3rd District Engineer Tito Jesus Salvador, at Rosales Mayor Susan Casareno.
“I am elated to see that with this newly-completed diversion road, we have drastically-improved the travel time from Rosales and other municipalities such as Balungao, Umingan going to Cuyapo, Guimba, Muñoz, San Jose, and Lupao in Nueva Ecija,” sabi Secretary Villar.
Ang pagpapagawa ng Carmen East-West Diversion Road sa halagang P519.94 milyon ay isinakatuparan ng DPWH Regional Office 1.
Sa isinagawang briefing ni DPWH Region 1 Director Tan, sinabi niyang ang Carmen East-West Diversion Road Project na ginawa upang mapaluwag ang daloy ng mga sasakyan sa mga bayan ng Rosales ay nagtataglay din ng box culvert bilang drainage, slope protection structures, 38-meter Palakipak Overpass Bridge sa kabila ng TPLEX, at 38-meter Udiao Bridge.
“Carmen East-West Diversion Road which is directly-connected to the TPLEX, is seen encourage more business ventures in the area and bring economic and social benefits to the people of Rosales, and its neighboring towns,” dagdag ni Sec. Villar.
